Joe Mount is a sound designer and re-recording mixer with over 20 years experience in the Amsterdam, London and Sydney audio post production industries.

Starting his career in London, Joe spent 14 years at the legendary Wave Studios, learning his craft under the Oscar winning sound designer Johnnie Burn while working for numerous world class directors, and won multiple awards, most notably two D&AD Wood Pencils (for Audi ‘Satellite’ and Prometheus ‘Transmission’) and a D&AD Graphite Pencil (for Skoda ‘Giggle’). Feature credits for McCullin, Under the Skin and The Lobster followed, as Wave developed their film department.

Since relocating to Sydney in 2017, his credits include sound effects editor for Poor Things, Porcelain War and The Zone of Interest, dialogue editor for Hurry Up Tomorrow, Kinds of Kindness, and 28 Years Later, re-recording mixer for the feature documentary Ithaka and the television show Exposure, and sound designer and re-recording mixer for Peter Skinner’s incredible debut feature Two Ugly People.

Joe works as an in house or remote freelancer, but can also independently deliver projects ranging from adverts to feature films, and mix all formats up to Dolby Atmos.

Recent independently completed work includes the Chloe de Brito short film In The Depths of Her Memory, the D&AD Wood Pencil winning advertising campaign Time to Live, and the complete sound effects editing, sound design, re-recording mixing and sound supervision for the feature film Two Ugly People.
